AS Vita midfielder Fabrice Ngoma confident of turning tables over Raja Casablanca
AS Vita have not lost hopes of overturning the 3-0 deficit they suffered at the hands of Raja Casablanca in the Confederation Cup
AS Vita midfielder Fabrice Ngoma has insisted that they will do anything within their power to keep the Caf Confederation Cup in Kinshasa despite facing a mammoth task of claiming it.
Vita are trailing Raja Casablanca 3-0 from the first leg away from home and reversing the huge defeat in Sunday’s return leg at home would be one of the greatest comebacks in the finals of African football history.
With Vita’s DR Congo arch-rivals TP Mazembe having won the two last Caf Confederation Cup editions, there is a slim possibility that it could stay in the central African nation.
“We talked to each other and the technical staff. The first leg is now behind us. We are now preparing to take this Cup. We ask all our supporters to keep their confidence in us. They will not be disappointed.
“We will do everything to keep this cup in Kinshasa. We want to write the story and remember it as it was in the past. We found a star on the shirt of this team, we want to add a second.”
Vita last won a continental title in 1973 when they bagged the African Cup of Champions Clubs (now Caf Champions League).
